The Easy E23/E84 product line feature various models designed to address specific applications.



These models are intended to be embedded in your Process Equipment or Transport Equipment. The enclosure is EMI shielded to withstand the harsh environment found in the internals of high powered process equipment.

The models are currently designed to be used in E23/E84 applications utilizing Hokuyo infrared transceivers.

Model #: E2384-E2-1100 This model is intended for use on equipment with up to 2 LoadPorts. It is also used with single LoadPort equipment with transceivers mounted both at the floor and at the top of the equipment. This allows the equipment to be used with AGV and OHV systems.

Model #: E2384-E4-1100 This model is intended for use on equipment with up to 4 LoadPorts. It is also used with dual LoadPort equipment with transceivers mounted both at the floor and at the top of the equipment. This allows the equipment to be used with AGV and OHV systems.

Model #: E2384-R2-1100 These models are functionally equivalent to the others but are designed to be mount in a standard 19" rack. The units are 1U in height and 8" deep. They support both Hokuyo-based and hardwired connections.

Model #: E2384-R4-1100 These models are functionally equivalent to the others but are designed to be mount in a standard 19" rack. The units are 1U in height and 8" deep. They support both Hokuyo-based and hardwired connections.

Model #: E2384-T1-1100 This model is intended for use on the desktop as part of host simulation and equipment testing. The smaller form factor makes it ideal for equipping service personnel for field support.

Model #: E2384-DMHB1 Model #: E2384-DMSHB1V Two models are available, based on the Hokuyo DM-HB1 and DMS-HB1 infrared transceivers.

Model #: E2384-EPS The Easy E23/E84 embedded models come with an industrial AMP CPC connector, intended to be connected to the Process/Transport Equipment 24VDC. This adapter allows the embedded units to be powered from a 50/60Hz 110-220VAC power source. Note: This power adapter cannot be connected to the tester models.

Model #: E2384-TPS This power adapter is for use with the Easy E23/E84 tester models. It supplies 24VDC to the Tester unit from a 50/60Hz 110-220VAC power source. Note: This power adapter cannot be connected to the embedded models.

The SEMI E84 specification requires optical isolation between transport and process equipment communicating in a direct connect application. A direct connect application is one in which the active and passive partners are in electrical contact and Hokuyo IR transceivers are NOT used. E84 applications using Hokuyo IR transceivers do not require opto-isolation to operate properly. Opto-isolation is currently available as an add-on option for shelf mount models, E2384-E2-1100 and E2384-E4-1100. Again, this upgrade is not necessary if you are using Hokuyo IR transceivers. Opto-isolation is supported out-of-the-box by the Easy E23/E84 rack mount models, E2384-R2-1100 and E2384-R4-1100.
